Board of Health

The LMAS District Health Department serves the communities of Luce, Alger, Schoolcraft, and Mackinac Counties with the guidance and support of dedicated county commissioners. These elected officials play a crucial role in shaping public health policies, ensuring essential services are delivered, and advocating for the well-being of residents across the district.

Working in collaboration with our health department leadership, the commissioners help oversee public health initiatives, allocate resources, and support programs that address the unique health needs of each county. Their leadership and commitment to community health are vital in maintaining a strong, responsive, and effective public health system.

We are grateful for their service and dedication to building healthier communities throughout the LMAS district.
